Bio

My experience spans over 15 years working with children, teens and adults, providing psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families and groups. I have successfully treated clients of all ages, from many different ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer, Questioning and Transgender individuals.

I have provided these services in agency, and school settings as well as through private practice which I established in 2003. I have managed and clinically supervised counseling interns working in a high school environment and implemented district-wide school safety, mental health programs in San Mateo’s Unified High School District.

My undergraduate degree is in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in family, sexuality and the life cycle. I obtained my graduate degree at San Francisco State University in 1997 in Counseling, with specializations in marriage, family, child and the older adult population.

I have served as a consultant on the San Francisco Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools for over 5 years. I am an active member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists as well my local chapter of San Francisco California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. I also participate in professional peer consultation on a regular basis.

I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. My license number is MFC # 40142 and can be verified by visiting the California Board of Behavioral Sciences website at http://www.bbs.ca.gov/.
